The Amazon Echo Dot (3rd generation) is one of the latest versions of the popular small speaker that’s part of Amazon’s popular Echo range of smart home devices. Amazon has said the Dot is the best-selling speaker of all-time, which is a huge achievement.
To be clear, this is the 3rd version of the Echo Dot. The 1st generation model was launched back in 2016 and there is, technically, a 4th generation model. But that’s known as the Amazon Echo Dot with Clock. Released in 2019, the Dot with Clock comes with a built-in LED clock.
However, the third-gen Echo Dot sans time display that we’re reviewing here is still absolutely worth buying – especially if you already have a clock in your home you already love.
There’s a lot to love about the Amazon Echo Dot (3rd generation). It allows you to control your smart home with a few commands, it’s able to make calls almost anywhere in your country, and it streams music from a range of the world’s most popular music services. It may be small, but we can all agree it sure packs a punch.
